Classy Sammy Moore half-century not quite enough for Fit Victory
Old Mo Fitmen CC 176 all out, lost to Barford, 178-7, by 3 Wickets

The scorecard is there for all to see, so needs no ball-by-ball analysis, yet the hidden culprit (only occupying the crease for 35 overs) proved to be the Fitmen downfall.
Unbelievable really that the class of Sammy Moore has never before resulted in a Fit-half-century for the former Brummy League player - today was his day on a quite tricky, grassy, rutted track, accompanied by a couple of Fitties along the way.
176 deemed possibly 50 odd short, with 5 overs left to bat....criminal.
And so it transpired - classy bowling from Waseem and Sunny, bagging 3 wickets apiece, and Bal who snagged 1, accompanied by some smart catching and glove work, proved in vain as the visitors clubbed the winning boundary in only the 32nd over - 7 wickets down after a mini top-order collapse had given the Fitmen a glimmer - however, a lower-middle-order partnership involving a combination of culture and clubber broke the Fit resilience and proved to be the difference.

Maybe one more weekend game before Boris draws the curtains on the oddest of odd summers?
